However, there may be occasions when you will need to return items to us.
Items Damaged in Transit
If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us within 48 hours (please note that this is 7 working days for non-business customers). If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, it's best to sign the carrier's delivery note accordingly. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once received (returns address below), we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.
Items DOA or Faulty
If your items are dead on arrival (DOA) or develop any faults, you have 28 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault (please note that for our business customers, this is 14 calendar days). Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once we have verified the fault, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs. We test all items that are returned to us, and if a returned item is found not to be faulty by our technicians we will return the item to you, in this instance you will be liable for the return carriage.
Items Faulty in Warranty Period
If any of your Aleutia products develop a fault, and it's more than 28 calendar days since receipt, then provided your item is within its warranty period, you are entitled to a warranty repair. All Aleutia Computers and Servers include a 1 Year warranty as standard. 2 Year and 3 Year Warranty is available and is linked to the Serial Number of the system during the order process. Each Aleutia computer and server has a unique serial number and the warranty of the product is linked to that serial number. Thus if you purchase an Aleutia computer from a third party and not from us directly, your product is still covered. The Aleutia warranty is a Return to Base (RTB) warranty. You will need to send the system to us at your expense and then we will return it at our expense. The warranty excludes clear violations such as water damage. In this case, you will have to pay the return carriage. Please follow the steps below to request an RMA before sending back to us.
If you change your mind - 28 Days, No Quibbles, Anywhere in the World
We realise our products are a bit specialist and we want you to feel confident buying our products, What we don't want is for you to be stuck with a product that doesn't work for your project or application.
Requesting an RMA - No Quibbles or Warranty
If you don't love your Aleutia product or if it does not work for the purpose you intended to use it for then you have 28 days to return it for a full refund for the product (minus delivery). You must contact support@aleutia.com to obtain an RMA number within 10 days of receipt and the item must be returned to us (at your own expense) within 28 days of receiving an RMA (so up to 38 days from when you receive the item). The item must be 'as new' when returned to us, under the Distance Selling Regulation. Because we have customers all over the world this is a global policy and is not limited to the UK.
Once the item is received at Aleutia and has been inspected, we'll issue a full refund for the product to your original payment method. Please note this policy has some limitations and does not apply to business customers.(The Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to @work customers or our Business customers). Return Process
If you need to return one of our products for any of the reasons listed above, you need to email support@aleutia.com with your Order Number in the subject header, and let us know about the issues you are experiencing. One of our support team will respond within 24 hours (usually much quicker) and may take you through a few steps to troubleshoot the problem first (if you haven't contacted them before).
Our support team will then provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Once an RMA number has been issued by our Support Team you can then return the items to us. Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted. Please make sure the RMA number is clearly marked both inside (on a piece of paper/sticky note) and outside the box (with a marker). Please also use some form of recorded delivery in case the package does not arrive.
