A Case That Serves as a Heatsink

The reason you need a hat and gloves in winter is because your head and hands have more surface area and so lose heat more quickly. It's the same with our T1-R: all those grooves on the case increse surface area and dissipate the mere 6.5W of heat coming from the processor which means we don't need a fan. Rather than use a large heatsink inside a large case, we can keep the T1-R tiny and sealed because the case is the heatsink.

With a thick IP-rated aluminium case and no moving parts, the sealed T1-R is designed for challenging applications like marine navigation, factory floors, or in cars and trucks. It's ideal for infection control areas such as Intensive Care Units. We use Intel SSDs. 

Designed from the Ground Up for High Temperatures

Our slim, energy efficient T1 is extremely popular for use in remote areas as a low cost rugged PC and we wanted to make it more accessible by creating a version that could be used in areas where humidity levels are high and where temperatures go over 45 C regularly, places like Northern Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. The new T1-R can operate in temperatures up to 48 C.

And because dust storms can be a real issue we wanted to create a fully sealed chassis. 

Dual Serial RS232 Ports as Standard 

The T1-R is well suited to industrial or marine applications as it includes a pair of RS232 Serial ports, ideal for connecting legacy devices or GPS systems. 

Wake-on-Lan (WOL), PXE Network Boot, and Auto Booting After Power Loss

All Aleutia PCs support network booting and BIOS support to power on after power loss (or return to last power state). This makes the T1-R well suited as “always-on” servers.
