We have engineered the T1 to be a small, silent and fanless computer for use both in embedded industrial applications as well as at home, office or a remote African school.  

Tiny & VESA mountable -  the T1 is flexible - it can be tucked behind a monitor or mounted to a wall.

Tough & Silent - Galvanised steel case manufactured using CNC technology, the same technology used to manufacture aircraft components and even Apple's Mac Mini. And with No Moving Parts, there's no noise.

Tree Hugging & Fanless - the T1 computer consumes just 16 Watts at peak, 80% less than a typical desktop and the fanless design means it is ideal for dusty environments.

Feature

24/7 Reliability from No Moving Parts

The Aleutia T1 has been designed from the ground up for use in remote areas. Its unique No Fan design enables it to operate in dusty areas where normal computers fail and we offer Solid State Drives in place of spinning mechanical drives to ensure reliability with No Moving Parts.

Solid State Drives use less power than hard drives (0.15W vs. 2W) and provide an amazing performance increase because of their extremely high read speeds. Windows 7 and Ubuntu both boot in under 15 seconds from any of our SSDs. Intel SSDs use sophisticated algorithms to prevent wear-levelling of the SSDs and can be used for 5 years without running through the write limit.

 

Low TCO from Energy Efficient Design

With idle power consumption of just 12 Watts and average power consumption of 16 Watts, the T1 uses nearly 80% less electricity than a traditional desktop PC - something we achieve by using laptop components and an Intel Embedded chipset. 

We increases reliability to reduce maintenance costs and we maximise energy efficieny to minimize electricity costs. Many of our customers use Aleutia computers for critical applications that are on 24/7 and choose the Aleutia T1 because it reduces their Total Cost of Ownership.

A Proven Platform

Since its release in September 2009, thousands of T1s have been deployed for projects in more than 45 countries, often operating in remote areas (with no access to spare parts) and running on solar. When you use a T1 for your own unique project you can count on its field-tested reliability.

VESA and Wall Mountable

The T1 chassis has been prepared with 4 mounting holes at a 100 x 100 mm distance. The optional thumb screws allow you to easily hang the T1 on the back of a monitor for a Zero-Footprint PC or can be used to Wall Mount the system for greater flexibility.

Wake-on-Lan (WOL), PXE Network Boot, and Auto Booting After Power Loss

All Aleutia PCs support network booting and BIOS support to power on after power loss (or return to last power state). This makes our PCs, especially the T1, great as “always-on” servers.


Example Applications

 Point of Sale Server: An Aleutia T1 with SSD and running Windows Server can be found in more than 100 Pret a Manger cafes in the UK and US. Mounted in a cabinet, the Aleutia T1 takes information from the cashier tils and provides real time analysis enabling head office to track sales - the kind of mission critical application the T1 is designed for.

 

Retail PA System: The world's third largest retailer use Aleutia T1s with SSDs in more than 150 stores through the UK to drive their Intercom annoucements through text-to-speech software. 

 

 Operating Theatre Display: The UK's Nathional Health Service use Aleutia T1s with SSDs and Bluespier software as wall mount PCs to display surgery schedules and patient information in their Operating Theatres. Because IT support staff can't enter these infection-control areas, a reliable PC with no movign parts is essential.
